PHOTOS: Skilled Pilot Lands Safely on Highway 70 in California After Engine Failure

Skilled pilot John Schneider (67) made an emergency landing  when the engine blew a rod above the Quincy airport. He took off with his Cherokee Piper 180 airplane from the Susanville airport enroute to Oroville. He sensed something was wrong and attempted to land at the Quincy airport, but it was fogged in.

When he started flying he got a “Guardian Angel” that he always has with him when flying. If it is placed in an airplane and kept there it will keep the pilot safe. It sure did! Here are some photos:
