VIDEO: F/A-18 Hornets Take Off in 30+ Knot Crosswind Leaving Skid Marks on the Runway

Strong crosswinds can be challenging, but thanks to excessive thrust or in technical terms, thrust-to-weight ratio, and some skilled pilots, these 2 F/A-18 Hornet jets were still able to takeoff. The first Hornet left skid marks all the way down the runway, likely from being pushed sideways by the strong crosswind. The second pilot lining up a little right of the centerline had even less room for error. Watch the video in HD below.
